February 11, International Day of Women and Girls in Science, and March 8, International Women’s Day, are two key dates to claim the role of women in society and science. While 8M is a global day of struggle for gender equality in all areas, February 11 emphasizes the need to make visible and promote female participation in the scientific world, where women have historically been a minority.
Both dates, far from being independent, are united in the same cause: to advance women’s rights, guarantee equal opportunities in all areas and eliminate the barriers that still limit their development and recognition.
At IGOP, we participate in this proposal to claim the talent, capacity and contributions that women make to society, both in science and in any other field. For this reason, we give a voice to our researchers and make their work visible. We also offer you information about the projects they lead.
