Yunailis Salazar is a PhD student in Politics, Policies and International Relations at the Institute of Government and Public Policies (IGOP) at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. Her thesis focuses on the implementation of socially responsible public procurement in the Barcelona City Council. Her research experience is mainly on urban governance and public administration, local public services, social innovation, community action, citizen participation and the emergence of municipalist candidacies in the context of the 2008 financial crisis and austerity policies in Spain. She has been awarded a PhD Industrial grant of the Catalan Government’s Agency for Management of University and Research Grants.
