Victoria de Castro

Victoria de Castro is a PhD candidate in Sociology at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and a predoctoral researcher in the NEXT-UP project. Her research focuses on educational systems, labour market structures, and welfare arrangements. Using the Capability Approach, she investigates how social background and institutional arrangements influence young people’s educational and professional opportunities. She holds a double MSc in Sociology and Social Research from the University of Trento and in Sociology: Politics, Policy and Society in a Comparative Perspective from Tilburg University.
