Violetta Tucci té un doctorat en Sociologia i Metodologia de la Recerca Social, atorgat per la Universitat de Milà el 2024. Actualment és investigadora postdoctoral al projecte WHOCOUNT al Departament de Ciència Política i Dret Públic i a l’Institut de Govern i Polítiques Públiques (IGOP) de la Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). La seva recerca se centra en les desigualtats socials, amb especial atenció a l’habitatge, la pobresa, el desavantatge del mercat laboral i les disparitats territorials. El febrer de 2025, la seva proposta de projecte titulada “Desigualtat i pobresa multidimensional en habitatge: comprendre el paper de les polítiques a Europa”, presentada en el marc de les Accions Marie Skłodowska-Curie (MSCA – Horitzó Europe), va rebre el certificat Segell d’Excel·lència.
