Laura Roth is interested in democratic theory, feminism, political culture and institutional design, as well as social movements and the construction of power “from below.” She works on issues of radical municipalism and feminist ways of doing politics.
She is currently a postdoctoral researcher at IGOP. Her project “The Politics of Radical Municipalism” studies the relationship between current debates in democratic theory and concrete experiences of radical municipalism around the world. She was previously a postdoctoral researcher on the project “Vive la Commune. Communalism as Democratic Repertoire” (Radboud University/Universitat Jaume I), as well as a professor at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra and the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya.
