Enrique Hernández is an associate professor (professor agregat) at the Department of Political Science at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. He completed a PhD in Political and Social Sciences at the European University Institute in 2016. Enrique’s main research interests are in political attitudes, public opinion, electoral behavior, and democracy. His work has been published in Political Analysis, European Journal of Political Research, Electoral Studies, and European Political Science Review, among others. In 2021 he received the “GESIS Klingemann Prize for the Best CSES Scholarship” for his work on affective polarization. Enrique is the principal investigator of the DEMOTRADEOFF project (2022-2027), funded through an ERC Starting Grant.
