Previously, he studied Public Administration and Organizational Science (MSc, 2010-2012), where he graduated on a thesis about the professional identity of Dutch general practitioners. Subsequently, he was visiting fellow at the Good Project, Harvard Graduate School of Education for three months, after which he started his PhD thesis \u201cProfessional identity of GPs &amp; teachers in a context of welfare state public policy reform\u201d and became a public administration lecturer at Tilburg University. His main research interests cover professionalism and public management regimes. Aiming to defend his thesis in the second half of 2018, he will work as a lecturer and researcher at Tias School for Business and Society, the Netherlands, as of January 2018.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">Lara Maestripieri<\/span> holds a PhD in Sociology and Social Research. She is Marie Sk\u0142odowska-Curie fellow at the Institute of Government and Public Policies (IGOP) of the Universitat Aut\u00f2noma Barcelona, studying gender and social vulnerability in an intersectional perspective with the MSCA funded project VINE (grant agreement No 747433). She has previously worked in EU Funded project FLOWS (2011-2014), WILCO (2011-2014) and CRESSI (2015-2016). In 2015, she has been fellow at the Giangiacomo Feltrinelli Foundation. In the book he offers an account of the contradictions and potentialities of today&#8217;s biopolitical urbanism at the global level. Between late 2017 and early 2018\u00a0a new\u00a0book he has co-edited with Theresa Enright (University of Toronto) titled\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.palgrave.com\/us\/book\/9783319645339#aboutBook\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Urban Political: Ambivalent Spaces of Late Neoliberalism<\/a>\u00a0will come out.\u00a0 In this book they explore the ambivalences in the political condition of the neoliberal city in terms of both emancipatory possibilities and existing governmentalities.<\/p>\n<p>His current empirical research is concerned with different forms of technology-based urban economies, from smart-city projects to start-up economies. In 2012, he accomplished a Ph.D. in Labour Studies at the Graduate School of Social, Economic and Political Sciences (GSSEPS) \u2013 University of Milan with a thesis entitled \u201cUndeclared flexibility: Irregularities in nonstandard contracts in Italy\u201d. He previously worked on the project \u201cAn individual perspective to Flexicurity\u201d at Amsterdam Institute for Advanced Labour Studies (AIAS) and he is part of the editorial staff of SISEC \u2013 Italian Society for Economic Sociology.\u00a0Main research interests are economic sociology, labour markets and political economy, with previous publication on informal regulation of labour in journals as \u201cSociologia del Lavoro\u201d.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Lara Maestripieri<\/span>\u00a0holds a PhD in Sociology and Social Research. He holds a degree in Economics from Pompeu Fabra University and a PhD in Political and Social Sciences from the European University Institute, Florence, Italy. In 2005-07 he was IRCHSS Research Fellow at the Industrial Relations and Human Resources Group, University College Dublin and then junior ICREA researcher in the Centre d\u2019Estudis Sociol\u00f2gics sobre la Vida Quotidiana I el Treball (QUIT-UAB).
