Actualmente es investigador principal del proyecto <a href=\"https:\/\/cordis.europa.eu\/project\/id\/101077363\">WHOCOUNTS<\/a>, financiado por el Consejo Europeo de Investigaci\u00f3n y afiliado al<a href=\"https:\/\/portalrecerca.uab.cat\/en\/organisations\/i-gop-grup-destudis-en-innovaci%C3%B3-governan%C3%A7a-i-pol%C3%ADtiques-p%C3%BAblique\">Instituto de Gobierno y Pol\u00edticas P\u00fablicas<\/a>. Daniel ha llevado a cabo investigaciones nacionales y comparativas basadas en m\u00e9todos mixtos para examinar cr\u00edticamente el impacto de la din\u00e1mica Estado-ciudadano en la pobreza, la desigualdad y el bienestar humano en pa\u00edses de renta alta. Sus investigaciones han contado con el apoyo de la Red Mundial de Universidades, la Comisi\u00f3n Europea, el Consejo de Investigaci\u00f3n Econ\u00f3mica y Social, la Academia Brit\u00e1nica y la Fundaci\u00f3n Wolfson.
