Marc Par\u00e9s<\/strong>.\u00a0Marie-Curie postdoctoral<\/span> researcher at the Institute of Government and Public Policy at the UAB. PhD in Environmental Science and a degree in both Environmental Sciences and Political Sciences from the UAB. He has been lecturer at the Geography Department of the same University and visiting researcher at the New York University (2014-2015), the University of Manchester (2007-2009) and the Sussex University (2003). His fields of research are urban governance, citizen participation, social innovation and the political ecology. He is the Coordinator of the Research Group on Urban Governance, Commons, Internet and Social Innovation (URGOCIS)<\/span><\/p>\n

Mara Ferreri<\/strong>.\u00a0Marie-Curie postdoctoral researcher working at the intersection of urban geography, cultural theory and politics. In 2013 she completed her PhD in Human Geography at Queen Mary University of London, with a thesis on the politics of temporary reuse of empty spaces. Her research interests include: temporary urbanism, precarity, gentrification, critical cartography, property guardianship and movements for the right to housing. Her work has appeared in international journals such as Transactions of the Institute of British Geographers, Cities and Ephemera & in edited volumes such as Space, Power and the Commons (Routledge, 2016) and Cities Interrupted: Visual Cultures and Urban Space (Bloomsbury, 2016). With architect Andreas Lang she recently co-authored the visual book Notes from the Temporary City (public works, 2016) on the role of temporary projects in the post-Olympic redevelopment of East London. Before joining the IGOP she held various teaching and research positions at Queen Mary University of London, Durham University and the London School of Economics.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00c1ngela Garc\u00eda<\/strong>.\u00a0Diploma in Social work, Bachelor’s degree in sociology and a master’s in Sociology of the territory by the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Currently, she is a researcher of the IGOP (UAB). His areas of interest focus housing policies, social movements, the analysis of urban policies and social innovation. He has been a visiting researcher at the University of Leeds and the University of Urbino “Carlo Bo”. Of the different research projects in which he has participated include Cultural Urbanas in the escenario 2015, directed by Joan Subirats, and The movimiento de viviendas y centros sociales en Espa\u00f1a y’s okupaci\u00f3n in Europe, led by Miguel Martinez, both funded by the Plan Nacional I + D + i. Is editor of the book social Innovation along with Joan Subirats y pol\u00edticas urbanas en Espa\u00f1a. Experiencias significativas en las grandes ciudades (Ac) and the OkupaMadrid book 1985-2011: Memoria, reflexi\u00f3n, debate y autogesti\u00f3n collective of conocimiento (Diagonal). In addition, he is the co-author of several publications, among which stand out: Ciudades y cambio de \u00e9poca: speeches on cultural urbanas y crisis en Espa\u00f1a (editions UPV, 2015) and Towns, vulnerabilidades y crisis en Espa\u00f1a (Centro de Estudios Andaluces, 2014).<\/span><\/p>\n

Eduard Cabr\u00e9<\/strong>.\u00a0Political scientist and urban planner. Eduard Cabr\u00e9 works as a consultant to local governments and non-profit organizations on social housing policies. His focus is on tenancy regimes and the role of non-profit social housing providers. He is also interested in the tension between market and design in regards to the evolution of cities.<\/span><\/p>\n
