At a time when social inequalities are worsening and institutional responses are often insufficient, the Institute of Government and Public Policies (IGOP) and the UAB Foundation propose an open and transformative reflection. Next Thursday, July 3, at 6 p.m.<\/strong> (CET), the Master’s Program in Social Policies and Community Action<\/em> is organizing a free online masterclass with political scientist and professor Joan Subirats, who invites us to rethink public policies from a collective perspective, rooted in the territories and led by communities. <\/p>\n <\/p>\n 19\/06\/2025<\/p>\n Next Thursday, July 3rd, at 6:00 p.m. (Spanish time)<\/strong>, the Master’s Program in Social Policies and Community Action<\/a> <\/em><\/strong>at the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB)<\/strong> is organizing an online masterclass open to the public <\/strong>entitled \u201cSocial Policies and Community Action: Collectivde Responses to Collective Challenges\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n The session will be led by Dr. Joan Subirats Humet<\/strong><\/a>, an academic and political leader in the field of public policy, and one of the most recognized voices in the defense of a collaborative and community approach to social action<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Given the current climate of social and institutional crisis, this masterclass proposes an essential shift in perspective: social policies<\/strong> cannot continue to be designed and implemented from the top down, but must be based on the knowledge, practices, and capabilities that emerge from territories and communities.<\/strong> Subirats <\/strong>will address the conceptual foundations of this approach, the foundation of the master’s program taught by the Institute of Government and Public Policies (IGOP)<\/strong><\/a> and the UAB<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n
