He focuses on how technology can enhance public participation in urban mobility decision-making, striving to engage all social groups in the deliberation process.<\/p>\n<p>His research is inspired by his involvement in various projects, such as WebSig (funded by the Cohesion Policy Programme), BioAssembler (Horizon project), and GovApp (funded by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology). These projects have provided him practical experience in using technology to foster civic participation.<\/p>\n<p>Bernardo has previously held research positions at the University Institute of Lisbon (ISCTE-IUL), the University of Coimbra, and the University of Lisbon. He continues to share his expertise as a Guest Lecturer in Political Science and Public Administration at the University of Lisbon.
