The Institute of Government and Public Policy (IGOP) is a research centre of the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), where it is based. Its origins are to be found in the Policy Analysis Team, recognized as research group since 1990. It got accredited as special research centre in 2002 and four years later obtained the official recognition as research institute of the UAB.<\/p>\n

The IGOP was created with the aim of promoting research, training and dissemination in the fields of government and public policies. This was to be done from an interdisciplinary approach and, above all, with the capacity to combine academic excellence with social impact.<\/p>\n

These two goals are fully reflected in their activities: Research and Training.<\/strong><\/p>\n

We develop competitive research<\/strong> (promoted by the European Commission with Horizon Europe, by the Government of Spain -several calls from the State Research Agency-, by the Government of the Generalitat of Catalonia as well as by private entities) such as applied research<\/strong>, through agreements or specific assignments with various institutions and entities<\/p>\n

We have a broad research agenda, mostly focused on the analysis of various social problems and public policy responses.<\/p>\n
